Title

Conservative Mennonite Conference - Rosedale, Ohio

Description

We are Anabaptist because we accept the distinctives of the sixteenth-century Anabaptist movement: believer's baptism, non-resistance, the priesthood of all believers, and the centrality of the Scriptures. We are one branch of the Anabaptist movement, that of Mennonites. Many of our people have Swiss/German roots and came to North America in the eighteenth and nineteenth century. We are related, from a historical standpoint, to Amish/Mennonites.

Along with many other conservative Protestant groups, we are evangelical. We identify with the truths of salvation by grace through faith, the need for preaching the gospel, the Bible as the inerrant Word of God, and understand Jesus as both fully human and fully divine.

We are conservative, primarily in our approach to the Scriptures. We see truth as coming from the Scriptures. We understand other authorities, such as tradition or the church, but grasp firmly to the Bible as the final authority.
