The Classics Network is the online publishing division of Classics Publications, an independent organisation based in Western Australia (ABN 46 588 646 742). Classics Publications publishes online, print, and digital educational material in the humanities.
The goal of the Classics Network is to provide a comprehensive set of resources for a variety of subjects in the humanities. The Network was founded in 1998 with the launch of LiteratureClassics.com. It continues to grow exponentially, with many new authors, essays and resources added every week. (Some interesting statistics on the website are included below.) In 2003 we launched PhilosophyClassics.com, and plan on continuously bringing you new sites for other fields in the humanities. (Early plans have PoliticsClassics.com slated for a 2005 release; HistoryClassics.com will probably follow in 2007.)
Each of our sites present a content in the form of critical essays, carefully selected and rated references to online and print material, quotes, and related resources. All content is presented in a dynamic, interactive environment--users have the opportunity to post messages at the bottom of every page of content on the site, as well as interact in forums and special chat events. Content comes primarily from users' submissions, and is coordinated by volunteer army of Experts who dedicate their time to building sites for specific authors.
