SHANNONGUPTA began playing violin at three years of age under the instruction of Kelly Howard at Brooklyn College. She began her studies under the Suzuki method and attended the Ithaca College Suzuki Summer programs from 1996-1998. At age six, Shannon moved to Scarsdale where she began study at the Hoff-Barthelson Music School (H-B) under the instruction of Claire Bright.
