The Seventh-day Adventist Church State Council and the North American Religious Liberty Association - West (NARLA-West) exist to ensure that all peaceful people of faith are accorded our fundamental right to not only hold our beliefs but to actively practice our faith.
We believe in and promote the historical separation of church and state, a principle understood by the founders of this nation, and we work to ensure that in matters of faith, the majority has no power. We believe that each person is directly responsible to God in matters of faith, and that religious groups should not invite the state to become involved in matters of spirituality, and that the church should not be co-opted by the state through direct regulation or through financial control.
Because eternal vigilance is still the price of liberty, the Seventh-day Adventist Church State Council works diligently in courts, legislatures, and through public education to promote your religious freedom. What do we do?
