- A wise man once said " There is more to life than duck hunting, but not when I'm duck hunting." I could not have said it better. I have hunted waterfowl for over a quarter of a century and have tried just about every decoy product on the market. I was always very fond of hunting over cork decoys but with many decoys costing close to $100 each, I knew I did not have the financial resources to purchase my own. After many years of wittling away with a good bird dog at my feet, I have developed my own custom decoys that ride beautifully on the water, handle the harshest conditions, cost 75% less than the competitor, and still provide the serious waterfowler a chance to own great cork decoys at the lowest prices available. My decoys have been proven off the coast of Maine, the mighty Chesapeake Bay, the lakes of Missouri, the Great Lakes, and as far west as California. My decoys are hand carved from black or tan cork, sealed to protect them from time and the elements, hand painted to lure in the wariest of ducks, and sealed again for a paint scheme that will last for many years. I pride myself on the simplicity of these decoys and realize that most waterfowlers are not artists that have lots of time to devote to repair and maintenance of their decoys. That is why my paint schemes are simple and easy to touch up with just a handful of supplies. I do not shy away from custom orders and will be more than happy to try and fullfill your requirements. Need more hens than drakes? No problem. No keels to eliminate weight? No problem. Just email me with any special requests.
