With a circulation of more than 6,800, the Chinook Observer is the largest newspaper on the Washington coast and has won dozens of statewide awards for excellence. The Observer is published each Wednesday morning and is the official legal newspaper for Pacific County. According to our most recent market survey, conducted by Pulse Research Inc., “Without question the dominant source of local advertising information on the Long Beach Peninsula is the Chinook Observer. The Chinook Observer more than 100 years old. Founded in 1900 by shipwrecked sailors, the Observer has spent a century as the news source for the people of the Long Beach Peninsula.
