- Dr. B was raised in Santa Rosa and completed his pre-dental education at U.C. Davis. He received his D.D.S. from the University of California at San Francisco Medical Center. He practiced general dentistry in rural northern California (Modoc County) for several years, gaining a depth of experience in all facets of dentistry. His formal orthodontic education was then taken in the orthodontic residency program at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry. Upon graduation as an orthodontist in 1990 he was awarded the Fredrick West Leadership Award by his peers. Dr. Bruno has practiced orthodontics as a specialty in Chico since 1990. In 1999 he became the first Chico orthodontist since the 1970s to achieve certification by the American Board of Orthodontics. He remains today the only Board Certified Orthodontist in Butte County.
