For over a century, the Fort Dearborn Chicago Photo Forum has been among the foremost learning centers in the nation serving photographers. Forum members hail from all walks of life and backgrounds. Together, they share a fascination with life seen from the perspective of the camera. The Forum's year-round program serves both the casual and serious photographer.
To enjoy photography is to remain forever young. Whether one is eighteen or eighty years of age, the photographer is always exhilarated by the beauty observed, the beauty created, and the beauty preserved. Since 1895, The Fort Dearborn Chicago Photo Forum has been uniquely involved in the lives of thousands of photographers. We are proud of our role in Chicago history.
To further development of the photographic skills of our membership, we maintain facilities with darkrooms and shooting space in the South Chicago Loop area in the heart of Printer's Row.
