Dr. Robert Fogel has been in practice for 21 years serving the greater NY Metropolitan Area with high quality affordable and gentle chiropractic health. In addition to earning a Doctorate of Chiropractic from NY Chiropractic College in 1980, Dr. Fogel received his BA from SUNY Binghamton and completed a Masters Degree from Columbia University. Dr. Fogel has continued his postdoctoral studies emphasizing hands on manual therapies targeting the myofascial system and associated stress related tension. He has developed a unique style of practice which he refers to as ChiroMassage. Combining the dynamic chiropractic adjustment to cause spinal realignment and decrease joint stiffness and pain with the comforting touch of an excellent area massage to reduce muscle related stress and tension, Dr. Fogel is able to achieve extraordinary pain relieving results! His soothing calming personality puts you immediately at ease. Add to this a tablespoon of a good sense of humor and you may be feeling better already... as you read this. Over the last 15 years Dr. Fogel has worked as a consultant for a number of insurance companies specializing in the evaluation of injuries associated with workers compensation and auto accidents. He has had the opportunity to perform literally thousands of disability evaluations or independent medical examinations and has gained as wide breadth of experience and knowledge from this unique opportunity. Dr. Fogel has served as past president of the New York State Chiropractic Association Bronx District for 1997-99. He is certified in electrodiagnosis from NY Chiropractic College and is also certified in disability evaluation and impairment rating. Dr. Fogel has taken extensive postgraduate course work in Myofascial therapy, exercise rehab, motion palpation and treatment of sports injuries.
Dr. Fogel is a walking and hiking enthusiast and is often found on the trails of Harriman State Park. or walking briskly around Rockland Lake or Van Cortlandt Park. He is a member of The Appalachian Mountain Club and The Adirondack Mountain Club. He is also quite a gourmet vegetarian cook and is always available to speak to you regarding food, recipes, nutrition, weight loss and health.
Dr. Fogel has been an avid radio listener and student of Gary Null for 25 years. He listens to WNYC Radio 820 AM. As a hobby "Bob" enjoys playing piano and plays in a small ensemble for local nursing homes. Once a month he plays at temple beth israel in Maywood NJ at Friday night sabbath service.
