Description
Twenty five years ago I learned stained glass from one of the experts in “old style” techniques of stained glass making, with an emphasis on leaded stained glass windows. I came from that experience completely absorbed in working with glass. I had never experienced anything else in my life I loved so much. All else seemed to dull in comparison to working with my hands creating stained glass designs. It was during a 4 month lay-off period from my “other” work that I really began to see that this was what I wanted to do. However, one day my good friend dropped by and handed me the “want ads” and said, maybe it’s time to get back to a “real job”. So, I did.
I dreamed about realizing my passion of creating things and making a living of it, but another 23 years would go by before I would leave the corporate world of high technology, and start living my dream. I worked 7 days a week for the last 3 to 4 years of my life so that I could build my business, while I was working full-time. It was a joy as I get so much energy from my work. Working with my hands, creating wind chimes and jewelry is a fulfillment of my life passion.
