Description
The Chattahoochee Handweavers Guild (CHG) is a non-profit organization that welcomes everyone with a love of fiber arts. The guild has thrived in Atlanta, GA since 1955. Weavers and other fiber artisans come from all parts of Georgia and many of the surrounding states to meet, exchange creative ideas, and get inspiration for their work. People with no experience learn about weaving and other fiber arts, and experienced artisans share their knowledge and grow together. There are many advantages to membership, as well as opportunities for the public.
Scheduled monthly September through June, the meetings and programs include lectures and demonstrations by guest and member speakers on handweaving and other fiber arts. Visitors are invited to attend.
A wide variety of weaving and other fiber arts are available throughout the year for CHG members and the public. Students range from beginners with no experience to skilled artisans wanting to perfect techniques.
