Originally started by David Chewter over twenty years ago as a family run business, the location has changed from Ashenground Road to Western Road and six years ago to our current location in Bridge Road.
In June 2003 Chewters was taken over by another family with close connections to the garage. Our aim is not to lose sight of the basis upon which the garage was established, that being to provide a friendly, professional service with a first class trained team.
Our aim is to assist customers in any way possible with the maintenance and repair of their vehicles, but also to look after the customer at the same time by being aware of the inconvenience and sometimes distress which can be caused by being without a vehicle for a day or two. We do this by offering a collection and delivery service. We also offer courtesy cars or alternatively a taxi service where this is more convenient. We are also situated only 5 minutes walk from Haywards Heath train station. Our aim is to keep customers informed at all times of the progress of the work, thereby reducing stress caused by lack of information.
