- The site was initially set up in March 2004 to archive the UK top 40 singles chart as it was released. Over the months and years the site began archiving the UK album chart and began to include more chart positions in the archive. At the time of writing the site records the top 100 singles and albums every week as they are published by the official charts company. The singles archive was provided very kindly by Colin at PolyHex and the albums chart archive was kindly published by Lonnie of DistantStar on the UKmix forums.
