We cover Western Crete which in our opinion is the most beautiful area of Crete – with the White Mountains, Samaria Gorge, beautiful beaches, traditional villages, resorts like Platanias and Agia Marina, the beautiful Gulf of Kissamos; and the stylish, cosmopolitan town of Chania.
Denise first went to Crete several years ago and did what a lot of people do – fell in love with the place and the people. In November 2001, she bought a traditional village house in the village of Fournes, Western Crete. The house was in need of a lot of work and is currently in the process of being renovated. Because she has been through this process, she has first hand experience of the stages involved when buying property in Crete, and she will provide guidance and advice throughout.
