- Champlain Township Public Library has come a long way from its humble origins operating out of private homes. Located for many years at the former Vankleek Hill Town Hall, the library moved to its present location at 94 Main Street East after the St. John's Masonic Lodge purchased the building in 1984 from The Bank of Nova Scotia and subsequently transferred ownership of the building to the Town.
