About ChabUcas.com

About the NameIn 1950, Isabel, an attractive, freckled, red-head from Perú, fell in love with Bill, an East Texas boy out looking for oil, and showing a remarkable lack of self-restraint she married him. Chabuca, which was her nickname, turned out to be an artist in the kitchen, and my brother and I remember it well; in fact, we’re still wearing it. So, when we built a restaurant to fit our memories: a little bit of Texas, and a lot of good cooking, of course, we named it after our mother.
