- Century Sports, Inc. was founded in 1972 as an importer and distributor of racquet sports products. In 1983, it acquired a major manufacturer of tennis court nets and windscreens and soon expanded into other court equipment areas, acquiring a line tape business in the mid-1980s. In 1993, Century Sports became the exclusive Court Equipment licensee for Wilson Sporting Goods Co. The company sells to end-user facilities such as country clubs, educational institutions, municipalities, condominium associations, and private court owners via on-the-road sales people, an in-house telemarketing staff and a 56-page 4-color catalog, website and annually updated price list. Century Sports’ high level of customer service and quick, reliable delivery have allowed it to become one of the largest suppliers of racquet sports court equipment in the U.S.
