Our staff:
Our director, Sabina Loffler, has a Ph D. in Hispanic Linguistics from the UNED in Madrid, Spain. She participates regularly in national and international congresses about language teaching and learning. Besides teaching at CELA, she has developed Spanish Online (http://cela-ve.com/aw/ingles.mv ) a free service for all those interested on the Spanish language, she also has a master degree in Online Education. Before founding the school in 1997 she thaught Spanish as a foreign language at European Institutions and Universities for more then 15 years. The Spanish teachers at CELA are highly qualified, speak more than one language and participate constantly in teacher seminars at school and abroad.
Our method for teaching and learning:
CELA is a small and very personal school. We take a limited number of students each month. For us it is very important for the success in learning that the groups never have more than six students, with a mean of three to four students per teacher, depending on the season.
To guarantee the teaching at the right level, we have developed several level tests, which can be taken online before the first day of class: http://cela-ve.com/test.mv?11 , the result being sent by e-mail both to the school and the student. We highly recommend to fill out the test, so we can place you in the right group from the first day on. This also allows to offer the classes in homogeneous groups and to know the skill of the new students in the Spanish language.
