Catoosa Small Animal Hospital was established in 1980 by Dr. Steve Weir. We were originally located off the highway in a smaller facility. In 1982, Dr. Bob Shoup became a partner and both doctors practiced medicine together until 1999 when Dr. Cathy Chell came to work as an associate. Since then Dr. Cathy has started a family and left the practice. We have since hired Dr. Sara Hendricks and Dr. Christine Martin to help us with the workload. We moved to our present location in October of 2000. We are very happy to have a facility that is thoroughly equipped to provide your pet with the latest in veterinary care. We have a fully equipped lab area, ultrasound, surgical, radiological, boarding, and grooming facilities. We also carry a full line of Hill's Pet Products(Science Diet and Prescription Diet), Purina Pro Plan, the most effective flea and tick products on the market, and many other supplies you may need for your pet.

We limit our practice to small animals-meaning dogs, cats, birds, ferrets, rabbits, and other small pets. We do this for two reasons:

WE WANT TO BE HERE FOR YOU. We currently have four veterinarians and eight veterinary assistants on staff. By limiting our practice to small animals and never being out on the farm, there is always someone available during office hours to take care of appointments and emergencies. “Drop-ins” are welcome; however, an appointment will prevent a possible delay in the waiting room and will help us take care of your pet as quickly and as easily as possible.
