Catalyst is the only science centre (and museum) solely devoted to chemistry and how the products of chemistry are used in every day life - from medicines to meccano. Our key aim is to inform people of all ages about the "chemistry" industry and its role in our lives, past present and future.
Catalyst is a great action-packed family attraction with an excellent educational focus. Schools visit during term time to take advantage of our curriculum based education programme. During school holidays everyone can take part in our special events and activities.
Finding out is fun at Catalyst. We have four interactive galleries with over 100 different exhibits to tug, tease and test. Enjoy panoramic views across Cheshire from the roof-top Observatory reached by a scenic glass lift, or visit Scientrific, Birth of an Industry or Chemicals for Life.
