Description
Conveyancing is the legal process of transferring property ownership. In other words when someone buys or sells a house the legal work involved in changing over the ownership is called "conveyancing".
In New South Wales the conveyancing profession was legalised in 1993 when the government decided that solicitors had a monopoly and were involved in price fixing.
Licensed Conveyancers must be legally qualified, have a minimum of 2 years experience in a conveyancing practice and hold professional indemnity insurance.
