Description
The Mayan fishing village of Puerto Morelos is located on a beautiful stretch of natural beach, about 20 miles south of Cancun. Protected by a magnificent offshore coral reef (the world's second largest barrier reef), the calm, warm Mexican Caribbean waters around Puerto Morelos are ideal for swimming, snorkeling, fishing, and scuba diving. The coral reef ecosystem, the mangroves, and the jungle that surround the town have been designated as a national ecological park by the Mexican government.
