Dr. Louis Fisher was born and bred in Paarl near Cape Town, South Africa, speaking Afrikaans and English. After school he did 2 years military training before joining Stellenbosch University, where after a year doing a Bachelor of Science degree, he embarked on a five and a half year dentistry degree. Having qualified as a dentist, Louis's love for travel took him to England, where he met his South African wife Colleen.
