Let me take a moment to say hi and welcome you to our web site. I'm pleased that you decided to take the time to get to know me and my family a little better and find out more about how Mommy & Daddy started this crazy business. First of all, my parents met while they were on their missions in Mexico in 1994. They weren't companions then though. Daddy told me they were in the same district for about three weeks until he was transferred to a far away part of the mission. They only saw each other one more time in the Mission Home when Mommy was on her way back home to Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico. Daddy didn't go home until a year later. He lived in South Jordan, Utah.
Daddy says it was during his mission that he thought of Care Package Express. Grandma Hightower sent five Christmas care packages to him to make him not miss them as much. But, he only got two of them and they got there really late. Since one of his companions was from the Mexican Border, Daddy thought it would be good to tell Grandma to send a package to them and then they could send it on to Daddy on his mission. He went home to Utah a little while later though and forgot all about it.
Mommy and Daddy were married in October of 1996 and I went to live with them right away. I couldn't wait to be with them so I came three months early. Now, I think that wasn't such a good idea, but everything worked out fine. At least I let them know right away who the boss was going to be in our home. Daddy was working at a place called SOS Staffing Services. First he worked in Bountiful, then in West Valley. We lived in Bountiful then. In June of 1998 he got a chance to move to San Antonio with the company. We moved on July 4th. Mommy and I flew to Texas and Daddy drove our van all full of our stuff. Grandma still laughs that daddy had to seat-belt the gliding rocker upside-down in the front seat next to him because there wasn't any more room.
