A native Washingtonian, Jason Samenow has been a weather enthusiast since age 10 (1987) -- the year of the double whammy snow storms that shut schools down seven straight days in the DC area. At the University of Virginia, he earned a degree in Environmental Science, focusing in Atmospheric Science. He went on to earn a Master's degree in Atmospheric Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His intern experiences include working at Mitretek Systems, NBC4 (for Chief Meteorologist Bob Ryan), NBC15 (in Madison, WI) and at NOAA's Techniques Development Laboratory. Currently, he's a Climate Change Analyst at the Environmental Protection Agency, where he monitors, analyzes and communicates the science of climate change and manages EPA's Global Warming website. In addition, Jason is the Chair of the DC Chapter of the American Meteorological Society.
