On an early September drive through the Winelands in 1995, CWT President Lisa Hough became enchanted with Franschhoek and its combination of deep green vineyards and jagged, deep purple mountains looming above.
As she passionately set about soaking up the tastes, vistas and venues of this delightful area, her enthusiasm soared and she immediately recognized a window wide open for travel opportunities. With a burning desire to share this unique travel experience, Cape Wineland Tours was launched in April 1996.
