Description

The M/V Whale Watcher is a giant, new 75 ft. long and 30 ft. wide catamaran specifically designed for non-obtrusive, up close viewing of whales and dolphins. She is the smoothest, most stable marine observation vessel on the entire East Coast. This makes the most ideal platform for creative photography and stunning videos. High speed capability, along with the center's strategic location and unsurpassed whale finding experience will give you the edge that you need for securing a successful trip.

The Cape May Whale Watch & Research Center was founded in 1987 in response to requests from the media and other organizations for more information concerning marine mammal behavior. Our endeavor is to monitor the type of species that come to this area and to learn more about their feeding, migration and breeding habits. The CMWW&RC originated the phenomenon of "Whale & Dolphin Watching" on the New Jersey Coast and is the only research facility in the state allowing public participation on vessels at sea.

The CMWW&RC maintains one of the most sophisticated whale and marine mammal migratory tracking systems on the Entire Eastern Seaboard. We maintain contact with entire fleets of commercial fishing vessels with "Space-Age Electronic Technology" to continuously advise us of their whereabouts. A maximum limit of 140 passengers allows our naturalists ample time to personally assist each passenger. Your voyage will last but a few hours... the memories will last a lifetime!
