CancerWise is a monthly electronic publication that contains information about the latest advancements in cancer treatment and research, support programs and activities, and cancer prevention tips, among other cancer news and information. CancerWise is produced by The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center. M. D. Anderson is one of the nation’s original three Comprehensive Cancer Centers designated by the National Cancer Act of 1971 and is one of only 38 such centers today. M. D. Anderson has been ranked among the top two cancer hospitals in the nation in U.S. News & World Report's "America's Best Hospitals" survey since the magazine began its annual survey in 1990.
The mission of The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center is to eliminate cancer in Texas, the nation and the world through outstanding programs that integrate patient care, research and prevention, and through education for undergraduate and graduate students, trainees, professionals, employees and the public.
