- The Canadian Sablefish Association (CSA) is a legally constituted organization representing Canadian commercial sablefish (also known as blackcod) license holders. The CSA was formed in 1987 to protect the interests and investments of sablefish fishermen and to explore and develop programs and policies for the protection and conservation of the Canadian sablefish resource and fishery both independently and in conjunction with the Canadian Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO).
