- Camp Thurman has been providing the best day camp in Arlington since 1969! Our mission is to provide a safe, wholesome outdoor experience, seasoned with the love of Jesus Christ, for all who attend. Right in the heart of the city, we have 12 acres of trees, creeks, gullys and more! Our "fun-in-the-woods" day camp for children age 4 through those finishing sixth grade. Christian counselors lead small groups of children through activities which include archery, swimming, ropes challenge elements, crafts, power pole, singing/skits, games, climbing walls, and gully zip lines.
