She discovered the world of photography at the age of 12, when she took apart her father's old Reflex Camera to understand how it worked. In response, her father bought her a 35mm camera on the condition she never would touch his again. After receiving her Bachelor in Fine Arts in Theory of Cinema at Bologna Alma Mater Studiorum University, she moved to New York City where she was introduced to film making; the perfect combination of story telling and photography. Falling in love with the possibility of shaping and painting reality with lights, Camilla developed a strong color aesthetic, understanding how different tones play a key role in the perception of emotion, storyline, and detail. Camilla strongly believes in the art of filmmaking as a cohesion of people, where everybody is a little piece of a big machine that manufactures stories.
