Description
Eddie Jones is the company's founder engineer and director. His background has always been in electronics and engineering, having qualified in electronics and communications in the late 1970s. He started his career working for Pye Telecommunications of Cambridge, and later joined Tait Mobile Radio in Huntingdon, where he furthered his breadth of knowledge and developed an understanding of the business world. In 1988 Eddie ventured off to set up his own company offering his unique blend of skill, knowledge and customer service, and has built up a loyal customer base since. Eddie's the kind of guy who could be anyone's 'I know a man that can'.
Eddie has sometimes felt that Cambridge Mobile Communications Ltd was a bit of a mouthful, and didn't really identify the company, or what it did, properly. So, in 2005 the trading name of CAMCOM RADIO was born. The website was launched and the new logo has recently been added to our stationery. 'It better describes the business we're in.....two-way radio'. 'Mobile communications is a quite a general term, and we don't supply mobile phones...'
CAMCOM RADIO continues to provide specialist radio services to the same high standard as ever before. Offering each customer a range of professional radios and accessories to meet their individual communication requirements. Some prefer to hire, for peace of mind or for short term needs, and others buy. But whatever your preference, you'll always get good service and support.
