California Reds Wine Club was founded by Helen and Derek Mackey, two wine enthusiasts with a taste for exceptional wine at a great price. We were both in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles and were members of a wine of the month club based in Napa. We looked forward to every wine of the month club shipment, tearing into the box to see what surprises awaited us. After a while, we decided to start our very own wine of the month club. We relocated to Napa Valley and created California Reds Wine of the Month Club, bringing the best wines and great stories of California Wine Country.
Seek and yee shall find... For each of our wine clubs we search for boutique wines that might become the next "cult wine", while they are still reasonably priced. Many of the wines in our wine clubs are getting some serious ratings from critics and experts. In fact, many of the past shipments in the wine clubs include wines that earned the status of Top Wine of the Year by Wine & Spirits magazine.
