Historically , project planning and development had mainly been carried out by engineering organizations. With the growth of environmental awareness in the 1970’s things began to change. New environmental protection laws were enacted. Project planning and permitting became more complex. Development lead times and costs increased. Fewer projects were built. Success required new institutional and environmental skills. Meanwhile, valuable engineering expertise was being lost as many water resource engineering organizations downsized or transferred their talents to other more active markets.
So after 18 years managing water resource projects for major engineering firms, Mr. Christensen saw the need for a small specialty consulting firm to provide clients with multi-disciplinary project teams of industry experts.
CAI is a project–driven firm. We select multi-disciplinary teams of industry experts from our firm, associated firms and independent consultants to best meet the unique needs of your project. Project management is provided by Principals of the firm who have over 30 years experience.
