Coconut palms and ancient mangrove trees are homes for the many beautiful birds,large iguanas, squirrels, white-faced monkeys, red crabs and other wildlife on the island. The giant sea turtles also come ashore to lay their eggs. CABINAS LA TRANQUILIDAD is located at Playa Palo Seco, a small island approximately 9 km long and 400 meters wide. On the CENTRAL PACIFIC COAST, Playa Palo Seco is 2 ½ hours from San Jose, 40 km south of Jaco, and 22 km north of Quepos.
