Description
A Capuchin is a Roman Catholic Franciscan who lives his vocation to religious life in the brotherhood or priesthood, with rich contemplative and liturgical prayer and vibrant community. Capuchins are Franciscan brothers and priests who teach in seminaries, high schools and colleges; preach retreats and parish missions; minister to poor people in soup kitchens and community centers, work as missionaries overseas, and serve in parishes. The Midwest Capuchin Franciscan Province encompasses the states of Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, North and South Dakota, and Montana, including the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Winona, Rochester, Bismarck, Billings, Great Falls, Helena, Milwaukee, Madison, Green Bay, Appleton, Marathon, La Crosse, Chicago, Rockford, Joliet, Huntington, Detroit, Saginaw, Ann Arbor, Lansing, Grand Rapids, and Kalamazoo.
