- De$t!nY created the original CoDJumper website for Call of Duty during Summer 2004. He made one for Delta Force 2 previously and decided to extend his interest to Call of Duty. The jumps provided on this site are intended to be used to make games more exciting. Some people argue that websites such as this are 'glitching' or 'exploiting' websites. We prefer to think of it as part of the game, for example, getting on top of a roof which anybody on the server can reach if they put their mind to it is simply realistic. Hence the phrase "It's not a bug, it's a feature!" was coined!
- Clearly, some jumps, such as getting out of or under a map is clearly on the other side of the feature/exploit line, however, most of the out of map or under map jumps are usually too hard to perform on a public server and therefore do not ruin the game for other players.
- Since release, the CoDJumper.com website has taken a total of four forms (including this current design). Destiny created the original website, however, he soon found that as the community grew and more people started sending demos in, he couldn't keep up with the volume of demos sent in. Consequently, he decided to form the CoDJumper Team in December 2004.
- The CoDJumper Team consisted of around 8 prominent members of the then relatively small community. Pedsdude offered to develop the new website in order to allow team members to upload demos to the website via an admin area, and so took over as the website admin.
- The new website was created, and the hosting was moved to Pedsdude's hosting. CoDJumper was then featured in the extremely popular UK magazine, PC Gamer, and soon after the CoDJumper.com domain was purchased by Pedsdude. The website began to grow in popularity, and newer versions of the website were created (although strongly based on the previous versions), and in January 2009 this new site was created by Pedsdude and KillerSam. De$t!ny eventually became more inactive due to university and personal life, and so decided to step down, leaving the site to be run and owned by Pedsdude (and now also KillerSam).
