In addition to offering the facts, Buzzgrinder contributors are never afraid to offer an opinion, whether or not its popular. As such, it has a fiercely loyal readership that often has no problem disagreeing with the opinion rendered. This helps reinforce Buzzgrinder's overriding philosophy that no one is above reproach -- whether its musicians, industry insiders, fans or the contributors themselves.
Being active online and in the real world
Buzzgrinder takes a two-pronged approach to strengthening the appreciation for music and the community it generates. Instead of just being content to help build communities online, Buzzgrinder is also adamant about strengthening local music communities through various grassroots activities.
This primarily includes promoting concerts with local and touring artists, as well as sponsoring touring artists by providing them with essentials for life on the road, working with locally-based music-related organizations to help strengthen their online presence, organizing listening parties and many other projects that help engender a solidarity among those active in all facets of the music community.
