Hello my name is Charlie Thompson, for those of you who have called Buttons-Up will know I am an American. I have been living in Great Britain more than 5 years and I have been married for 4 years, my wife Dawn McFarlane-Thompson has been a cross-stitcher for most of her life. When she came over to visit me she saw so many new cross-stitching products and started buying them. After awhile we decided to go into business, which we called Buttons-Up. We have been open little over 6 months, and we have accomplished so much. We are able to do special orders to many special requests because we work with companies from New York to California and soon we will be one of the largest cross-stitching companies in Britain.
Hi I am Dawn and I help run Buttons-Up as my husband mentioned above I have been stitching since I was a child thanks to my grandmother who taut me all kinds of crafts from cross stitching to crochet. It helped me through lots of times in my life when I was away from my family in hospital. My love for cross stitching just kept growing and soon I was making gifts for other people for their new baby to wedding samplers. My husband and I frequently return to America to visit our family there and of course we source new things that might sell well and be of interest over here in Britain. Always striving to give good choice and service to all our customers from all over the world I wanted to set up a company that would listen to what they wanted and give each of them individual attention. That is what I always wanted when I contacted any company, so I run Buttons-up with the customer very much in mind.
