Buttervilla is situated within fifteen acres of rolling countryside in an area of exceptional beauty. We care for our land in a sustainable eco-friendly way and are rewarded with the privilege of an abundance of wildlife to view from our hides and secluded sitting areas about the grounds. Red deer can be spotted at dusk, as can barn owls, while buzzards soar on thermals throughout the day. A walk around the farm will treat you to a multitude of bird song to help soothe your stresses and put you at peace with the world.
In season we provide fresh produce from our own extensive kitchen garden grown using natural methods without any chemical sprays for maximum quality, purity and a great taste. We provide a hearty farmhouse breakfast and also offer an evening meal with home grown, locally sourced, and wherever possible organically grown ingredients.
Situated within the ancient 3000 acre Port Eliot Estate, Buttervilla is a recently refurbished farmhouse equipped with all the modern conveniences. Our own private well provides the house with fresh spring water, which is specially filtered to provide the most delicious drinking water. The three spacious double en suite rooms are comfortably furnished in a contemporary style and you can enjoy an eco friendly solar heated power shower . Don’t worry, we do have alternative heating methods if the sun is not shining.
