- We are a small family-owned company, that believes in quality. Our business began during our quest to find quality karate weapons for our son to use in his karate tournament career. We had purchased several karate weapons and we were disappointed time and again by the quality and design of the weapons. My husband, the perfectionist, would always dress up the weapons for use in tournament. When our second son was looking to begin his karate career, my husband took a shot at making a bo staff for him. It was beautiful. I jokingly suggested, we ought to go into business making and selling these weapons. After some research and a quest for the perfect name, Buki Yuushuu was born. Buki Yuushuu, which means weapon excellence, was the embodiment of the spirit of our business. We work hard to produce excellent quality weapons with great design always in mind.
