- I am Sue Bujno. (Pronounced Boy’no) My husband’s name is Allen. In 1983, a friend of mine from Maine came to New York to teach me the technique of lampshade “cutting and piercing,” an old New England craft that was experiencing a resurgence. It took me a couple years of making shades for family and friends to realize my love for the craft.
