Jimmy Buffett World was started on January 1st, 2000 by Josh Martin in Springfield, Missouri. For nearly four years it resided on Josh's free AOL Hometown space (see right, top).
On October 31st, 2003 the domain name buffettworld.com was purchased and the site was redesigned (see right, bottom). A powerful phpBB discussion board was also added. Shortly after the move to buffettworld.com, the wealth of information at BW grew greatly. With the help of Justin (Bamafan), the most comprehensive archive of Jimmy Buffett Set Lists was compiled and added in 2004. The Album Artwork collection was also added during 2004. Throughout '04, membership and activity on the discussion board increased dramatically.
In 2005, Justin compiled the Tour Dates Archive, also the most comprehensive on the web. And in January of 2006, Josh redesigned the site to the look it now has today.
