Welcome to Buddy Central, the one stop website for everything related to one of the internet's most popular instant messaging programs. The concept of Buddy Central was produced in January 2004 by a recent graduate of one of Pennsylvania's premier technical colleges. After hunting around the internet and searching on Google for services related to AOL Instant Messenger, like buddy icons, sub-profiles, aim expressions, away messages, quotes, and online personals or internet friend services, it was noticed that there wasn't really a website that offered all of these services in one spot. Hence, the idea of Buddy Central was born. I wanted to provide a service to AIM users, by allowing them to gain something, either from what the website had to offer, or from other members of the website. Participating on Buddy Central by uploading quotes, away messages, buddy icons, or aim expressions allows you to earn points. Then, the points you collect can be redeemed for chances to win prizes. The more you participate, the more points you earn, and the better your chances are for winning the giveaway prizes. Buddy Central was built with a community sense in mind, and I hope you have a good experience with what we have to offer. Please bear in mind that we are working hard to get the site up and running at 100%, but some of the features listed above are not yet enabled due to the fact that further testing is needed.
