Welcome! We are Atlanta's oldest continuously operating automobile dealership. Paul Light's Buckhead Jeep-Chrysler began as Buckhead Chrysler-Plymouth in 1962. A visionary businessman named Larry Munier founded the company just as Buckhead was waking up from its life as a little neighborhood on the outskirts of Atlanta. Lenox Square Mall was brand new and a lot of new car dealerships were opening in the area. At one time there were at least 15 different dealerships representing every make and model in Buckhead.
Paul Light came aboard as a manager about 9 months after the dealership opened. He had a solid reputation as a straight shooter and an excellent car man. this reputation still holds true today. Paul bought the dealership from Larry in 1979 after having run it for him for many years as Larry had long since semi-retired.
Over the years almost all of the original dealerships in the area have moved out to the suburbs following Atlanta's population explosion and legendary urban sprawl. Paul Light realized that it would be unwise to abandon his loyal customers in and around the city that had come to depend on the dealership and its convenient location for their automotive needs. We have grown the business as time went by and eventually added the Jeep line in 1997.
