After earning his medical degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Dr. Blane Shatkin completed his training in General Surgery and Plastic Surgery at State University of New York. He entered private practice in 1992 in South Florida. Today, Dr. Shatkin is the medical director of a beautiful, accredited plastic surgery facility in the heart of Weston, Florida just west of Fort Lauderdale and just a few miles north of Miami.
Dr. Blane Shatkin has held numerous prestigious offices, including Chief of Staff at Memorial Hospital Miramar, Former Chief of Surgery at Memorial Hospital West, and Associate Medical Director of Praxis Clinical Services. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a member of many reputable professional organizations including the American Society of Plastic Surgery, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Florida Society of Plastic Surgery, Broward Society of Plastic Surgery, Broward County Medical Association and the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society. In addition, Dr. Shatkin is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, FACS.
