Title
Brooklyn Public Library
Description
As an independent system, separate from the New York City and Queens libraries, Brooklyn Public Library serves the borough's 2.5 million residents, offering thousands of public programs, millions of books and use of more than 850 free Internet-accessible computers. Just some of the many things you can do at BPL:
Attend an author reading, Chinese opera performance, poetry discussion or one of more than 43,000 other public programs offered throughout the year.
The Board of Trustees, together with the Executive Director and her staff, outline a plan of service designed to improve and increase ways in which Brooklyn Public Library is used, make us more important in the lives of children, and become a place that's easier to do business with for staff, vendors and library users.
