We are a family owned company, situated near Clevedon, New Zealand. We specialise in growing and producing organic medicinal herbs and herbal health blends for animals. Our aim is to produce a fully organic, New Zealand grown herbal range to naturally enhance the health and well being of horses and farm animals in general.
We have been growing herbs for the human health industry since 1992. In that time we have added herbs to our animals' diet and have been impressed by the positive results. We studied the benefits of different herbs in animal health and in 1999 we started producing and marketing our range of herbal blends for animals.
Brookby Herbs are dedicated to producing the highest quality herbs. Our herbs are taken straight from the field to our specialised high tech dryers within 2 hours of cutting, a critical aspect of herb production, resulting in very little loss of active ingredients. The drying temperature is maintained below 40 degrees Celsius, sealing in the active ingredients and maintaining optimum quality. Brookby Herbs are also used by the human market and undergo stringent quality testing under an HPLC test. This is a standardised world method for testing active ingredients.
