(Cincinnati) . One of our major accounts in the wastewater treatment industry is FBC Technologies, Inc. Brockport Microbiology was founded in 1999. Dr. Sara E. Silverstone started the company after a ten year career as a university professor, directing research in environmental microbiology and teaching courses in bacteriology, genetics, molecular biology, microbial ecology and cell biology . Her career included research in plant pathology, bioremediation and advanced genetics. Dr. Silverstone wanted to provide a service which would enable her to use her talents and experience to meet the commercial need for industrial and environmental microbial problem-solving and subject area expertise . All of her diverse projects have involved research, writing and interpretation of results geared towards all audiences, from the Ph.D. level scientist to the business professional with little or no scientific background. Dr. Silverstone's teaching and writing experience have enabled her to develop an exceptional ability to explain scientific principles and information to the non-scientist .
