Ken was reared in Reidsville, NC, and graduated from Davidson College in 1964. After serving in the US Army, Ken's career in office systems began in 1969 as a sales rep for Clyde Rudd& Associates in Greensboro, NC. In 1971, Ken moved to Roanoke as a part of Rudd's Roanoke office. In 1982, the Rudd group elected to sell the Virginia territory, and Briggs Office Solutions was launched.
